Installations (BYU - 2006)
The Installation class was split into four units:
Art that Creates a World, Reading - Jules Vern, “Ten Thousand Leagues Under the Sea”
Activist Art - Upton Sinclair, “The Jungle”
Art About What you Know - Wallace Stegner, Collected Essays on Utah
Truth Seeking Art - Richard Bushman, “Rough Stone Rolling”
Each unit was accompanied by a reading and a lecture with installation artists work that gravitated to each approach. Each student created four installations during the class relating to each approach.
