Making art from my family history is what I have been doing for 30 years. I’ve been thinking about emotions as expressed in writing though time from texting, online forums, emojis, to letter writing. On September 20, 1866 my 3rd great grandfather, William Edward Curtis, wrote a letter of proposal to Elizabeth Ann Carson. I knew the contents of the letter, but I just discovered the original letter in August after my father passed away. You may discover it for yourself.
